Effective Date: June 22, 2026 Last Updated: June 22, 2026
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Flourishtn.org (the “Site”), which is operated by the Governor’s Faith-Based and Community Initiative (“GFBCI,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) in connection with the Human Flourishing Initiative (the “Initiative”).
By accessing or using this Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. About the Site and Initiative
The Governor’s Faith-Based and Community Initiative is a nonprofit organization that mobilizes faith communities, nonprofit organizations, and community partners to serve Tennesseans. The Human Flourishing Initiative equips Tennessee counties to build local, community-led alliances—uniting state agencies, faith communities, and local nonprofits—so that families can move from crisis to flourishing through coordinated, whole-family support. Flourishtn.org provides information about the Initiative and allows visitors to learn more, express interest, and contact us.
The Site is an informational resource. It is not the platform through which families receive services. Individuals and families served by the Initiative are supported through a county backbone organization and its alliance partners, and any information they provide in that context is handled separately from the Site (see Section 4 and our Privacy Policy).
2. Acceptance of Terms
By using this Site, you represent that you are at least 18 years of age, or that you are using the Site under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf. Your continued use of the Site constitutes your ongoing acceptance of these Terms as they may be updated from time to time.
3. Use of the Site
You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with its intended use. You agree that you will not:
- Use the Site in any way that violates any applicable federal, state, or local law or regulation.
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information, including impersonating any person or organization.
- Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, its servers, or any connected systems or networks.
- Use any automated means (such as bots, scrapers, or harvesting tools) to access, collect, or use information from the Site without our prior written permission.
- Transmit any viruses, malware, or other harmful code, or engage in any activity that could damage, disable, or impair the Site.
- Use the Site to transmit unlawful, harassing, defamatory, abusive, threatening, or otherwise objectionable content.
We reserve the right to restrict or terminate access to the Site, in whole or in part, at any time and for any reason, without notice.
4. Submissions and Communications
When you submit information through the Site—such as your name, email address, organization, or indicated interest in the Initiative—you represent that the information is accurate and that you have the right to provide it. Information you submit through the Site is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Expressing interest through the Site does not guarantee participation in the Initiative, partnership, services, or any particular outcome. The Site is not an intake or enrollment system. Families and individuals receive services through a county backbone organization, and participation may be subject to additional eligibility requirements, assessment, consent, screening, training, and approval administered by that organization and its alliance partners.
Please do not submit sensitive personal information—such as health, financial, or other confidential details about yourself or others—through general contact forms on the Site. Such information should be shared only through the appropriate intake process of a county backbone organization.
5. Informational Purposes Only; No Professional Advice
Content on the Site is provided for general informational purposes only and does not constitute medical, mental health, legal, financial, or other professional advice. The Site describes a model of coordinated care across many domains of life, but it is not a substitute for advice, diagnosis, treatment, or services from a qualified professional. If you or someone you know is in crisis or needs immediate assistance, contact a qualified provider or emergency services.
6. Intellectual Property
The Site and its content—including text, graphics, logos, images, and other materials—are the property of the Governor’s Faith-Based and Community Initiative or its respective licensors, and are protected by applicable laws.
You may view, download, and print content from the Site for personal, non-commercial, or informational purposes, provided you do not remove any proprietary notices. You may not otherwise reproduce, modify, distribute, or use the content for commercial purposes without our prior written permission. Names, logos, and marks displayed on the Site—including those of the Initiative, GFBCI, and partner organizations—may not be used without authorization.

We do not control and are not responsible for the content, products, services, or privacy practices of any third-party websites or organizations. Your use of third-party websites and services is at your own risk and subject to their terms.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Site and all content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of viruses or other harmful components, or that any information on the Site is complete, accurate, or current. Information on the Site is provided for general informational purposes and may be changed or updated without notice.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Governor’s Faith-Based and Community Initiative and its officers, directors, employees, volunteers, and agents shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising out of or in connection with your access to or use of (or inability to use) the Site, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
Your sole and exclusive remedy for dissatisfaction with the Site is to stop using it.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Governor’s Faith-Based and Community Initiative and its officers, directors, employees, volunteers, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Site or your violation of these Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms and your use of the Site are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Site shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the state and federal courts located in Davidson County, Tennessee.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update or modify these Terms at any time. When we do, we will revise the “Last Updated” date above. Changes are effective when posted to the Site. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
13. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
